The customers vision here was to create an open plan living kitchen extension on a new build property in Crofton, Wakefield.
The idea was to get away from the old-fashioned traditional conservatory look and make it look part of the house by giving it an “Orangery” feel.
The construction was made up of brick pillars on top of a concrete screed base and all the necessary footings complying with current building regulation.
The PVCu windows are large tilt and turn double glazed units allowing the windows to tilt inwards for ventilation or fully turned for an escape route.
As well as installing two sets of bifold doors these were glazed, as well as the windows, with integral uni-blinds.
“This kitchen orangery extension has worked out exactly as we wanted giving us maximum light with the full glass panels and the glass roof. The bifold's open the whole structure into the garden and it just seems it’s always been part of the existing house. Every trade was brilliant. Elmhurst are extremely organised and keep you informed every stage of the way. I've already recommended neighbours in our development to get a quotation from Elmhurst.”
